Funds raised from the event will be used to help local schools and community groups.

The Moorpark Morning Rotary Club has announced it will host a beer tasting festival in conjunction with the City’s annual Country Days event.

The second annual Beer Tasting Festival will take place Sept. 30 and will kick off Country Days.

Regional brewers and restaurateurs will be sampling their signature beers and cuisine. Among them will be Moorpark’s own Enegren Brewing Company, The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill and Chronic Tacos, as well as Ventura’s Surf Brewery, Wolf Creek Brewery and Restaurant, Stone Brewing Company, Kearsarge Beer, Garmon’s Irish Pub.

“This event is a great opportunity to bring the community of Moorpark together with our neighbors in the region and to raise money to support our local schools and organizations,” said Barbara Orechoff, president of the Moorpark Morning Rotary, in a statement the club issued about the event.

General admission tickets will be $50 at the door and $40 in advance. Advance tickets are available on the event’s website. Non-alcohol tickets are also available for $25. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Rotary club, which uses the funds to support local schools and community organizations.
