2017 Festival News

New BreweriesThe Moorpark Beer Festival announces the 2017 brewery lineup for the 8th annual event will feature 22 local and regional breweries. This year the festival will have 5 new breweries for festival attendees to enjoy.

All Local Festival

Last year the Moorpark Beer Festival made the decision to host our event only with local breweries and to not include beer distributors or breweries from outside of our region. We also partnered with Enegren Brewing Company to help us build these relationships. Now our event is uniquely a local beer festival.

New Breweries

This year’s Moorpark Beer Festival will feature 5 breweries who have never poured at our event: Leashless Brewing, MacLeod Ale Brewing Company, Ojai Valley Brewing Company, Rincon Brewery and Third Window Brewing Company. We are also excited to welcome back Wolf Creek Brewing Company after a brief hiatus. In total, there will be 22 breweries pouring beer samples at the 2017 Moorpark Beer Festival.

Dylan Gunning, Chairman of the Moorpark Beer Festival, had the following remarks: “The decision to transition to a truly local beer festival was a great decision for our event. We have learned that beer drinkers are looking for places to enjoy local culture and engage with breweries and we believe Moorpark Beer Festival provides that experience.

Returning breweries include crowd favorites like Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company, Institution Ale Company, Ventura’s Surf Brewery, Five Threads Brewing Company, Casa Agria Specialty Ales and Moorpark’s own Enegren Brewing Company.

Supporting Local Charities

Entering it’s 8th year, the Moorpark Beer Festival has become a staple in the Eastern Ventura County community calendar. The event raises money for local nonprofit organizations. Last year, the Moorpark Rotary Club Foundation donated $20,000 in festival profits to 15 community organizations and schools.
