New SiteMoorpark, CA  — The Moorpark Beer Festival announces that due to increased public demand and need for expansion, the 4th Annual Festival will take place at Moorpark College on October 12th, 2013.  The new venue is over 100,000 square feet and is more than triple the size of the 2012 venue on High Street in Downtown Moorpark.

Lillian Canterbury, Chairman of the Moorpark Beer Festival had the following remarks, “We always enjoyed hosting the Moorpark Beer Festival on High Street and enjoyed a great working relationship with the City of Moorpark.  After the 2012 festival it was clear we needed more space to accommodate more breweries and additional guests.  We believe Moorpark College will be a great site to accommodate the festival as it continues to grow.”

The new site for the Moorpark Beer Festival is adjacent to the campus soccer fields located at the lower portion of the campus.  The college will also provide ample parking in the upper campus parking lots and will have a designated walking path directly to the east of the campus.  VIP ticket holders receive preferred parking near the event site.

The Moorpark Beer Festival is the annual fundraiser of the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club. Started in 2010, the event has become a staple in the Moorpark community calendar and funds the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club’s philanthropic efforts throughout the year. All of the proceeds of the Moorpark Beer Festival will benefit the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which uses the funds to support local schools and community organizations. Last year, the Moorpark Morning Rotary Foundation gave $25,000 in festival profits to 20 local schools and nonprofits.
